A job that found me
I began caring professionally by chance while I was between jobs. What I expected to be temporary became something deeply meaningful. Five years later, caregiving has introduced me to remarkable people with a wide range of needs—and shaped my own growth along the way.
Much of my experience has been with people living with Alzheimer’s, along with clients who need support communicating their wishes. My strength is patient listening: finding the best way for each person to be understood, then building trust from there.
Words from a family Max cared for
Max’s calm, reassuring demeanor creates a sense of trust and comfort, while his attentiveness ensures that every need—big or small—is met with care and respect.
“My father responded remarkably well to Max’s gentle approach and patient guidance.”
A thoughtful approach
There is no one-size-fits-all routine. The best care follows your loved one’s interests, energy, and way of communicating.
Notice the small cues, make space for expression, and understand what would make today feel good.
Share a puzzle, table game, walk, conversation, or activity that brings genuine engagement.
Help with personal routines and practical needs while preserving choice, dignity, and comfort.
